As a Home Health Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough evaluations of patients recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, or managing chronic conditions, assessing their functional abilities and limitations.

Implementing tailored treatment plans, utilizing techniques such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities like heat or cold therapy to manage pain and promote healing.

Engaging in consistent progress tracking by documenting patient responses and adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Providing training and support for caregivers to empower them to assist patients effectively and enhance four-dimensional care.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field through workshops, seminars, and continuing education opportunities.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Many patients will be recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements or fracture repairs, and may also have chronic conditions requiring ongoing management. Your ability to connect and communicate effectively with this varied clientele is paramount to achieving successful therapy outcomes.

A valid state license in Physical Therapy is required.

A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred; Proficiency in computer systems for documentation purposes.

While prior experience in an orthopedic setting is beneficial, recent graduates and first-time applicants are encouraged to apply.
