Work Environment

The Physical Therapist position is primarily onsite, allowing for hands-on interaction with patients in their home environment. Working in home care provides you with the opportunity to not only assess the physical needs of the patients but also to understand the contextual factors impacting their recovery, leading to comprehensive and effective treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, individualized treatment and care plans based on thorough patient assessments.
• Utilize independent clinical judgment to provide hands-on therapy, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and the use of various modalities.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, monitor patient progress, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively and consistently with patients and their families regarding their treatment plans, progress updates, and any concerns that arise throughout the therapy process.
• Document patient interactions and treatment progress in adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with chronic pain issues, and patients experiencing mobility limitations due to various conditions. Your role is crucial in helping these patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and current Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of three years of experience in physical therapy, preferably in an orthopedic or home care setting.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who have additional certifications in orthopedic physical therapy or experience using advanced modalities and therapeutic techniques. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also advantageous for efficient documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits

Laurier Therapeutic Solutions offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
