Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Port Charlotte, where we focus on providing therapeutic services to patients in need. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to enjoy a balanced work-life commitment. As a member of our team, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, creating a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to understand the unique needs and goals of each patient.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and the latest therapeutic techniques.
• Provide patient education on exercises and wellness strategies to optimize recovery and prevent reinjury.
• Administer targeted modalities and manual therapy techniques to enhance mobility and alleviate pain.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes using electronic medical records (e.g., WebPT).
• Engage with patients to motivate them throughout their healing journey, fostering an environment of encouragement and support.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Regularly monitor and assess patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele predominantly consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. You will work closely with diverse populations, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of each patient. Our goal is not only to facilitate rehabilitation but also to empower patients with the knowledge and tools necessary for a healthier lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in the field is preferred.
• Active and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• No history of board actions or disciplinary actions on your license.
• Proficiency in clinical assessment tools and techniques, particularly in orthopedic outpatient settings.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.
• Strong skills in manual therapy and designing effective exercise programs.

Compensation and Benefits
