Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, developing personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
• Implementing and supervising a variety of therapeutic interventions to promote recovery, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Providing education and training to patients and their caregivers to enhance their understanding of the recovery process and empower them in their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care that optimizes treatment outcomes.
• Utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system for accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication within the team.
• Meeting productivity and utilization goals while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on treating patients of all ages with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will also have the opportunity to engage with pediatric and neurologic patients, adding diversity to your clinical practice.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), along with a valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in word processing and familiarity with electronic health record systems.
• A strong commitment to establishing rapport and building relationships with patients and their families to support their recovery.
• A demonstrated desire to connect positively with community members and contribute to a supportive environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques, such as dry needling or manual therapy, will be viewed favorably. Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and familiarity with diverse rehabilitation practices will set you apart.
