Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, using evidence-based practices to inform treatment plans.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment programs aimed at restoring maximum functionality and mobility.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including objective assessments, treatment interventions, and outcomes, to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies to enhance engagement in their recovery process.
• Collaborate regularly with healthcare team members to discuss patient progress and coordinate care for optimal results.
• Assess and recommend necessary medical equipment for patients to aid in their rehabilitation process.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote physical therapy and educate the public on injury prevention and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with post-operative orthopedic patients, including those recovering from joint replacements, sports injuries, and fractures. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding these patients through their rehabilitation journeys, helping them regain independence and improve their overall movement patterns. You'll also work closely with individuals experiencing chronic musculoskeletal conditions, providing a diverse range of therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• An active physical therapy license in the state of Florida is essential.
• At least three years of direct experience as a physical therapist in an orthopedic setting, emphasizing treatment for musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective relationships with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
