Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment that includes an array of healthcare professionals. The work setting is entirely onsite, providing patients with direct access to our comprehensive rehabilitation services and resources. We offer a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a structured yet flexible routine that allows for optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, unique needs, and therapeutic goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific conditions and lifestyles of patients, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one patient per hour to ensure focused and personalized care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and design comprehensive exercise programs to improve patients' range of motion, strength, and mobility.
• Encourage patients to set and achieve realistic goals throughout their rehabilitation process, maintaining effective communication regarding their progress.
• Document patient services promptly and accurately to facilitate ongoing treatment and successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment approach that enhances patient recovery.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adapt strategies as needed based on patient feedback and progress.
• Promote wellness and prevention strategies through community outreach initiatives.
• Engage in regular professional development to stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, addressing a variety of musculoskeletal conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and mobility impairments. Our facility serves patients of all ages, including active adults seeking to regain fitness and seniors focused on maintaining their independence. Your compassionate and patient-centered approach will be vital in guiding each individual through their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or higher degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida Physical Therapist licensure without any board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, and designing exercise programs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective patient relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in employing evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
• Prior involvement in community wellness programs or educational workshops is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
