Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function, all while working within the client's capabilities.
• Evaluate patients' functional levels using a variety of diagnostic tools, and create progress notes that reflect clinical findings and treatment outcomes.
• Supervise and guide the Physical Therapy Assistants in the delivery of prescribed therapy modalities and ensure adherence to care protocols.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patient environments to recommend necessary modifications that support rehabilitation.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other treatments using various physical agents according to physician prescriptions.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team activities, contributing to case conferences aimed at refining the clients' overall treatment strategies.
• Keep meticulous clinical records, including evaluations and treatment progress notes, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and timely submission to the clinical record.
• Educate clients and their families about treatment plans, therapeutic devices, and strategies for enhancing their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to update care plans and incorporate feedback from team discussions.
• Continuously reflect on and adapt treatment regimes based on real-time observations and feedback from clients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Symbria, you will primarily focus on adult and geriatric clients who are experiencing a range of physical rehabilitation needs, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, and mobility issues related to various health conditions. Your role will significantly influence their recovery journey, enabling clients to achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
• Active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a team while exhibiting great interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to various patient needs smoothly.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
