Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations to assess each patient's condition, functional limitations, and disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patients' goals and needs.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques and modalities to enhance therapeutic outcomes, ensuring that you maintain a patient-centered approach.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress accurately and in compliance with clinical standards and legal requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, including referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members, to coordinate care.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on the management of conditions and the importance of adherence to treatment protocols.
• Participate in community outreach and educational endeavors to promote health and wellness in the Punta Gorda region.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay current with the latest in physical therapy practices and compliance with licensure requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a part of our team, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, chronic pain issues, and neurological conditions. Your goal is to enhance their capacity to perform daily activities and improve overall physical function through targeted, personalized rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Florida state license in Physical Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience in patient care with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competence with documentation and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with specialized training or an advanced degree in physical therapy or rehabilitation sciences are encouraged to apply. Compensation and Benefits

Honor Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
