Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations that include thorough reviews of medical history and performance of specific assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment recommendations to patients and their families, ensuring their active participation in goal setting.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols with proficiency based on patient assessments and continuously adapt based on patient progress and the healthcare environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals as necessary, documenting and recognizing any changes in patients' conditions that may require adjustments to their plan of care.
• Engage in discharge planning and follow-up care, maintaining accurate documentation of all patient interactions and adjustments to treatment plans.
• Manage time efficiently to meet productivity expectations and maintain an organized schedule for patient appointments.
• Contribute to departmental goals through active participation in marketing initiatives and team projects.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and prepare for future leadership roles within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient clinics serve a diverse patient population, providing care for a variety of physical ailments resulting from sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, neurological disorders, and chronic pain. As a Physical Therapist at Better Living Physical Therapy, you will have the opportunity to work with patients from different backgrounds and age groups, focusing on personalized care that addresses their specific needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid DPT license from the State of Florida is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association's BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effectively working with patients and collaborating with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in an outpatient office.
• Experience in developing and implementing physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
