Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans that focus on preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall muscle function, ensuring plans are in alignment with physician prescriptions.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in executing treatments while providing instruction and support as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests and assessments, ensuring data-driven adjustments to care are made as necessary.
• Assess the home environment for rehabilitation purposes, offering recommendations to promote patient independence within their living spaces.
• Deliver therapeutic exercises and therapies, including manual therapy and physical agents, to facilitate patient recovery.
• Regularly document clinical progress, maintaining meticulous records of initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries as required by regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during case conferences to strategize treatment plans that cater to comprehensive patient needs.
• Provide essential training to patients and their families on the use and maintenance of physical therapy devices and programs.
• Keep up with timely submission of documentation and operational orders, ensuring compliance with our policies.
• Engage in ongoing self-assessment and peer discussions to refine skills and knowledge in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be primarily working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, those with chronic pain conditions, neurological disorders, and individuals seeking to improve mobility or physical function following injury. Our goal is to empower patients through individualized therapy that reinforces their capabilities and encourages active engagement in their recovery process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Florida, maintaining good standing.
• Current certification in CPR.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience as a physical therapist, ideally in a rehabilitation or home care setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with case management and coordination within interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
