Urban Movement Rehab & Wellness Center in Punta Gorda, Florida, is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist. Work Environment

This full-time position operates on-site at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in beautiful Punta Gorda, allowing you to engage directly with patients in a hands-on manner. You will join a close-knit team composed of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant who collaboratively prioritize exceptional patient care. With our Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, you will have a structured environment that allows for a focused and efficient approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their movement restrictions, functional capabilities, and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' specific needs, utilizing a blend of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and various other intervention methods.
• Manage a manageable caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives concentrated attention and care during their therapy sessions.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering an environment of encouragement and support as they work towards regaining their functional independence.
• Employ non-surgical treatment options aimed at enhancing mobility and reducing reliance on medication, promoting a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress meticulously and communicate effectively with other healthcare team members, including physicians and specialists, to coordinate high-quality care.
• Engage actively in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. By employing evidence-based practices tailored specifically for athletes and active individuals, you will help enhance their physical capabilities while significantly reducing pain and discomfort. Your keen understanding of biomechanics and functional movement will play a crucial role in achieving optimal outcomes for each patient.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy and exercise prescription tailored to orthopedic treatment.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems, preferably WebPT, to enhance efficiency and patient record management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired to ensure familiarity with treatment protocols and patient demographic.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations, providing insight into their unique rehabilitation needs.
• Demonstrated ability to create and implement specialized fitness plans tailored to individual goals.

Compensation and Benefits

This rewarding position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
