Work Environment

The position is full-time and onsite, primarily focused on providing care in the comfortable and familiar environments of our patients' homes. This role allows you to engage directly with patients in a one-on-one setting, ensuring that you can implement therapeutic interventions in a setting that promotes ease and comfort. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatment plans, actively preventing disabilities and relieving pain while enhancing muscle function.
• Assess client needs and tailor therapeutic interventions based on evaluations of strength, mobility, and overall functional abilities.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure adherence to established care plans and effective implementation of therapeutic strategies.
• Perform detailed evaluations of client home environments, recommending modifications that can increase independence and enhance safety.
• Administer a range of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques and non-manual exercise programs.
• Assess, fit, and make recommendations regarding prosthetic and orthotic devices based on individual patient assessments in line with physician guidance.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation encompassing initial evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to ensure holistic treatment approaches and unified goals for client progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients and families about therapy goals, expectations, and the use of assistive devices.
• Ensure timely submission of clinical and administrative documentation as per company policy.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to incorporate innovative practices and technologies into the therapy provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on a diverse patient population requiring orthopedic rehabilitation in the home care setting. You will work with individuals recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, or chronic conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system, with a significant emphasis on promoting positive functional outcomes and improving the quality of life for each patient.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience working with orthopedic populations is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail related to client management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Additional certifications in orthopedic or geriatric physical therapy are highly desirable.
• Experience working in home health settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with OASIS documentation standards is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
