Top Point Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist. This full-time role, based in our Port Charlotte, Florida outpatient office, offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and deliver physical therapy interventions that aim to prevent disability, manage pain, develop, and restore muscle function, while maximizing each patient's performance capabilities based on their individual care plans.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment protocols and patient management strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations assessing clients' functional capabilities using diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint performance.
• Evaluate client environments to identify rehabilitation needs and recommend modifications to enhance independence and quality of life.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services at our outpatient facility, ensuring adherence to physician directives and evidence-based practice standards.
• Administer various therapeutic techniques including manual exercises, stretching routines, traction, and the application of physical agents for treatment effectiveness.
• Fit, adjust, and assess orthotic and prosthetic devices, collaborating with physicians for modifications when necessary.
• Contribute to the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of personalized care plans by participating in interdisciplinary case conferences.
• Document all client interactions meticulously, ensuring accurate clinical records including evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
• Provide education and instructions to clients and their families regarding therapy programs and equipment use, promoting engagement in their recovery processes.
• Meet regularly with the clinical and administrative teams to strategize and enhance therapeutic services provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. We focus on creating personalized recovery plans that are centered around each patient's unique situation and ensuring a supportive atmosphere that addresses their physical and emotional wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a preference for experience working in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for travel to patient locations if applicable.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation standards.
• A strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
• Previous involvement in developing patient education materials or leading community health initiatives is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
