Work Environment

As part of our outpatient office setting, you will work closely with a team of skilled healthcare professionals in a collaborative environment. You will have the autonomy to choose your own hours and work Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in an outpatient setting, designing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques and modalities such as exercise prescription, manual therapy, and modality application to alleviate pain and enhance functionality.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment strategies to ensure consistent improvement towards their rehabilitation objectives.
• Train patients, caregivers, and allied health personnel on the effective use of assistive devices and the principles of physical therapy.
• Regularly reassess and refine therapeutic goals and treatment approaches in tandem with patients' evolving needs.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with innovative physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. This diverse population includes individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as age-related musculoskeletal disorders. You will empower them through personalized therapy regimens aimed at restoring mobility, strength, and functionality, ensuring they can return to their daily activities safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid State License to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and patient management.
• A strong willingness to collaborate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings is beneficial.
