Work Environment

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist position is onsite, primarily focused on delivering care in the comfort of patients' homes. Our team is dedicated to offering an exceptional patient experience through individualized treatment plans that emphasize the specific needs and preferences of each client. You will collaborate closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physical therapy assistants, physicians, and case managers, ensuring cohesive and effective care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and administer physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, restoring muscle function, and optimizing performance according to established care plans.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants, ensuring they adhere to best practices in care delivery and implement treatment strategies effectively.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of each patient's functional abilities through diagnostic and prognostic assessments of muscles, nerves, joints, and overall functional potential.
• Assess patients' home environments and provide recommendations for modifications that foster independence and enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Implement manual therapeutic exercises, instruct clients on non-manual exercises, and guide them in functional activities to facilitate recovery.
• Administer treatments involving physical agents, such as traction and massage, to manage pain and promote healing.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, making necessary modifications and recommendations to the prescribing physician.
• Participate in the development, review, and ongoing updates of patient care plans while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members.
• Monitor, document, and report any changes in patient conditions, providing timely feedback to physicians and case managers to adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical records including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engage and educate patients and their families, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and how to utilize therapy devices effectively.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary case conferences and contribute to holistic treatment planning and evaluation.
• Stay compliant with branch policies by submitting clinical and administrative documentation promptly.
• Facilitate patient participation in their recovery process by instructing them and their families about rehabilitation techniques and best practices.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
