Flex Valley Vista Rehab Clinic is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist who is committed to helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall quality of life. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the patient rehabilitation process, focusing on promotional measures, prevention strategies, precise diagnosis, effective treatment, and comprehensive intervention. Located in Portsmouth, Virginia, Flex Valley Vista Rehab Clinic is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility specializing in orthopedic physical therapy. Our facility spans over 5000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technologies. We prioritize a patient-centered approach and take pride in serving a predominantly private health insurance-based patient population, which allows for personalized care that adapts to individual recovery journeys. Our team includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all dedicated to delivering exceptional rehabilitation services.

Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will enjoy working onsite at our modern rehabilitation center where collaboration is key. The environment is structured but flexible, allowing you to implement innovative treatment strategies while working within established protocols. Our daily schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with the prescriptions from referring physicians or state-authorized practitioners.
• Utilize advanced evaluation techniques to conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions and capabilities.
• Design comprehensive and effective treatment programs aligned with each patient's specific recovery goals, ensuring a focus on functional improvement.
• Continuously monitor patient progress by making accurate observations and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Adhere to established emergency procedures to ensure patient safety and quick response during any critical situations.
• Complete and submit necessary documentation in compliance with departmental guidelines and quality standards.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives including chart reviews and departmental collaboration to enhance patient care protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and family conferences to discuss treatment plans and patient welfare.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to a cohesive team atmosphere focused on patient recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population facing orthopedic challenges, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing tailored care plans that prioritize mobility restoration and pain relief, allowing patients to return to their everyday activities and preferred sports.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensing as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions against your professional license.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing effective exercise programs that meet patient needs.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, or a determination to quickly become proficient.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a rehabilitation setting focusing on orthopedic conditions is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with advanced therapeutic techniques and previous involvement in multidisciplinary teams will be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities designed to support your professional development.
