Work Environment

This position requires working onsite, providing orthopedic treatments in a home health care setting. You will be interfacing with patients in their own environments, thus allowing for a more tailored rehabilitation experience. As a physical therapist, you will be responsible for managing a case load of 1-2 patients per hour, allowing ample time to engage with each patient and deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough screenings and evaluations of patients' physical abilities, developing evidence-based initial and ongoing treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Implement physical therapy interventions aimed at regaining strength, mobility, and functionality for patients with orthopedic conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, using real-time data and objective measures to guide decisions.
• Supervise rehabilitation assistants and support staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination of care.
• Conduct patient education sessions on exercises, home modifications, and wellness strategies to promote independence and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, progress notes, and treatment protocols in compliance with clinic policies and state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at our clinic, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, athletes returning to sport, and patients with chronic pain or mobility impairments. Your expertise will be critical in helping patients regain strength and mobility, thus enhancing their daily lives and overall well-being. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Demonstrated ability to safely operate physical therapy equipment and perform comprehensive functional assessments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients, evidence-based decision-making skills, and an emphasis on patient care and safety.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation, is highly desirable. Familiarity with home health therapy delivery models will be an advantage, as it enriches your capability to adapt treatment plans in a patient's living environment.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package that includes:
