LifeMotion Physical Therapy and Balance Center is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Portsmouth, Virginia. Work Environment

This role will primarily be performed onsite through home care, allowing for a flexible work setting where you can connect with patients in their living environments. You will adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life model. As part of LifeMotion's team, you will collaborate with other healthcare providers, enhancing interdisciplinary cooperation aimed at delivering the highest quality of patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to identify treatment needs.
• Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and electrotherapy to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options, encouraging proactive involvement in the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate care and achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest techniques, trends, and evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will encompass a diverse patient population, ranging from young adults to seniors, all facing various orthopedic challenges. By tailoring your approach to each individual's unique circumstances, you will be instrumental in their recovery journey, guiding them through personalized rehabilitation strategies that enhance mobility, strength, and overall health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; further education such as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for engaging with patients and their families.
• A commitment to maintaining a positive attitude and fostering teamwork within the workplace.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist is favored; however, enthusiastic new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Additionally, we offer financial support for continuing education, ranging from $1,500 to $2,500, to encourage your professional development and growth in the field.
