Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations in accordance with healthcare standards and state regulations to determine patient needs.
• Assess patient mobility, strength, and overall functional capacity, establishing realistic goals for improvement that align with each patient's abilities.
• Create comprehensive Treatment Plans that incorporate short- and long-term rehabilitation objectives, while considering recommendations from other medical professionals and involving patient and caregiver participation.
• Implement Treatment Plans consistently, adjusting strategies and goals in response to patient progress and feedback.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient progress, adhering to facility protocols and clinical guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques in physical therapy through educational workshops and literature, integrating new knowledge into practice.
• Collaborate with and provide mentorship to fellow practitioners and support staff to enhance facility operations and patient safety.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient demographic, encompassing individuals recovering from a wide range of orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and conditions. This includes athletes, older adults, and post-surgical candidates. You'll have the opportunity to develop individualized care plans that address unique needs, preferences, and goals, ensuring that each patient receives personalized therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring their functional independence.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; higher degrees such as a Master's or Doctorate are preferred.
• Current, valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia, with an active commitment to ethical practice and continuous learning.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED, is required for all applicants.
• Demonstrated professional experience with a minimum of 2 years providing physical therapy, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, combined with a strong ability to motivate patients while ensuring safe recovery practices.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment and best practices for its use and maintenance.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation center is advantageous.
• Prior familiarity with electronic documentation and health record systems enhances workflow efficiency.
• Proficiency in advanced therapeutic modalities and exercise techniques aligned with orthopedic recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 , commensurate with experience and skill set. In addition to a generous salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
