We pride ourselves on our team-oriented approach, consisting of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and one PTA, working collaboratively to meet our patients' diverse needs.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our modern rehabilitation center, which is designed to foster a supportive and engaging atmosphere. Our typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a well-balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient goals and needs, tailoring treatment plans that align with each individual's unique circumstances.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused, quality care during each session.
• Implement evidence-based treatment modalities and develop care plans utilizing a variety of techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Provide education to patients on fitness and wellness, customizing programs to enhance their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document patient services provided, tracking progress and adapting care plans as necessary to align with treatment goals.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, maintaining open communication with patients regarding their progress and any necessary adjustments.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary health professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy journey to optimize their functional potential.
• Advocate for a healthy lifestyle by informing patients of non-surgical alternatives to conventional medication pathways.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, focusing on patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. We aim to empower our patients through rehabilitation, instilling confidence and ownership of their health journey. Our approach emphasizes personalized care tailored to each patient's specific needs and goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Chesapeake, Virginia, with no board actions or disciplinary actions against the license.
• Demonstrated strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in creating effective exercise routines for rehabilitation.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) software, such as WebPT, ensuring seamless documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient care setting is highly desirable and will enhance your integration into our practice.
• A track record of successful patient outcomes and the ability to work effectively within a team-based environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
