Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and physical assessments to accurately determine each patient's unique physical needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and promote optimal recovery.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques and exercises, including manual therapy techniques and patient-specific rehabilitation programs, to support recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, progress, and self-care strategies to encourage active participation in their recovery process.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and monitor treatment effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and notes, ensuring compliance with health care regulations and standards.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuous education opportunities to enhance your personal and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients of all age groups who are seeking to recover from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your role is essential in not just treating the physical aspects but also addressing the emotional and psychological challenges that accompany rehabilitation, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A current Virginia state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality care.
• A positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset to foster a collaborative working environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred; however, newly licensed physical therapists are also strongly encouraged to apply.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain patient records efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and education. Our extensive benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and generous paid time off (2-3 weeks). We also offer continuing education support between $1,500 and $2,500 to promote your professional development.
