Family First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a motivated and skilled full-time Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. As a vital member of our orthopedic outpatient facility, you will play a crucial role in helping patients restore their mobility and improve their quality of life. Your primary responsibility will be to implement personalized treatment plans that enhance movement potential and functional performance.

Family First Physical Therapy is a privately-owned practice dedicated to providing high-quality physical therapy services. Our state-of-the-art facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology. We pride ourselves on the exceptional care we offer, serving a diverse patient population primarily covered by private medical insurance. Our team currently consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). We focus on creating a supportive and healing environment for both our staff and our patients.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our outpatient office in Norfolk, where collaboration and communication are key. The practice operates from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify their needs, goals, and limitations, ensuring tailored treatment approaches.
• Manage a patient caseload with a commitment to one-on-one sessions, allowing for focused attention and effective therapy (averaging one patient per hour).
• Deliver evidence-based therapies that enhance patients' range of motion and mobility, aiming to reduce reliance on medications and surgical interventions.
• Develop and oversee individualized care plans that include a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions.
• Create specialized fitness and wellness programs designed to support patients' specific needs and conditions.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their recovery process, helping them achieve their personal health and wellness goals.
• Ensure thorough documentation of patient care services and progress to maintain compliance and quality care standards.
• Engage actively in collaborative practices by consulting with other healthcare professionals to guarantee a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes periodically, adjusting care plans as necessary to optimize rehabilitation results.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possession of a valid State license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Impeccable professional record with no prior board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to enhance patient care documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working as a physical therapist, specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated ability to develop personalized treatment plans that yield positive patient outcomes.
• Experience with high patient loads and managing one-on-one care effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
