Work Environment

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist at Grandcare, you will be working onsite in a dynamic multidisciplinary team environment. Collaborating closely with two fellow physical therapists and a licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will have the opportunity to share knowledge, develop treatment strategies, and collectively enhance patient outcomes. Our work schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient goals and needs, customizing treatment plans to address specific limitations.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, providing individualized therapy to one patient per hour while ensuring quality care is paramount.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques for treatment interventions that prioritize cost-effective solutions and non-surgical alternatives.
• Employ a diverse range of therapeutic modalities to improve mobility and functionality, including manual therapy and exercise routines.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their therapy journeys to foster confidence and self-efficacy in their rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
• Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any modifications to care plans to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Engage in ongoing assessments to measure the effectiveness of interventions and adjust treatment strategies when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no board actions or disciplinary sanctions.
• Demonstrable expertise in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises.
• Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, ensuring efficient patient documentation and management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients and engage with the healthcare team effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Prior professional experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy, preferably in a private practice setting.
• A background in designing and implementing customized fitness programs relevant to therapy goals.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation methodologies and evidence-based practices.

Compensation and Benefits
