The Spine and Joint Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Norfolk, Virginia. As a full-time therapist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain mobility and enhance their quality of life. Your responsibilities will span from assessment and diagnosis to intervention and ongoing support, with a strong focus on promoting optimal health and functional independence.

About the Organization

Located in an expansive 5000 square-foot state-of-the-art sports medicine facility, Spine and Joint Rehab Center specializes in orthopedic outpatient care. Our PT-owned practice is designed to cater to a variety of individuals, primarily those with private medical insurance. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, personalized treatment in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be working alongside a skilled team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all committed to exceptional patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position, allowing you to engage directly with your patients in a modern and well-equipped facility. You will follow a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life while providing the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to identify each patient's specific goals and requirements.
• Manage a patient caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour to allow for focused, individualized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that may include manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment protocols based on real-time feedback and outcomes.
• Emphasize strategies that minimize reliance on medications and explore non-surgical options for achieving optimal patient outcomes.
• Design comprehensive wellness programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and overall quality of life.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all patient interactions and care provided through our electronic medical records (EMR) system, specifically WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, for a holistic approach to patient care.

Our practice serves a diverse patient population that primarily consists of those seeking recovery from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and possess a valid Virginia license as a Physical Therapist.
• Candidates should maintain a clean professional record, free from any disciplinary actions related to their license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid foundation in developing and executing exercise protocols is essential.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is preferred to facilitate efficient patient documentation and care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is required, showcasing a strong track record of effective patient management.
• Previous roles involving collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be beneficial in this fast-paced practice.
• A specialization in sports medicine or rehabilitation therapies is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
