Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or diseases to improve function and mobility.
• Establish individualized treatment plans that incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, manual therapy, and modalities designed to alleviate pain.
• Document and track patient responses to interventions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about the therapeutic process, self-care strategies, and the use of any assistive devices needed for daily activities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create a multi-disciplinary approach tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Commit to continuing education by attending workshops, engaging with professional literature, and participating actively in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be implementing therapy practices aimed at improving the quality of life for a varied patient population, including individuals with post-operative needs, chronic pain, sports injuries, and general mobility limitations. The patients you serve will range from pediatric to geriatric, providing you an invaluable opportunity to apply your skills across multiple demographics and conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly with orthopedic cases.
• Current CPR Certification is required.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
