Spine and Joint Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated, full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our passionate team in Chesapeake, Virginia. As a Physical Therapist, you will provide comprehensive patient care, focusing on prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation in an outpatient setting.

Our clinic is focused primarily on treating individuals covered by private medical insurance, and we are proud to be a physical therapist-owned practice dedicated to maintaining a high standard of care. Our team includes experienced professionals, consisting of two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all working collaboratively to provide the best in patient-centered treatment and support.

Work Environment

This position will be based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Chesapeake, Virginia. Operated in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the clinic is designed to facilitate both patient care and staff collaboration. Your schedule will involve weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient goals, needs, and current physical conditions.
• Manage a patient caseload, typically treating one patient per hour to ensure focused and individualized care.
• Design and implement evidence-based therapy programs tailored to improve each patient's mobility and quality of life.
• Utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques, exercise protocols, and advanced modalities to address a wide range of orthopedic issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adapt treatment plans that optimize recovery and health outcomes.
• Document and monitor patient progress through effective communication and EMR software, specifically using WebPT.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment plans, encouraging adherence to practices that enhance strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Implement strategies to reduce patient reliance on medications and explore alternatives to surgical interventions.
• Evaluate outcomes effectively to ensure treatment goals are met and adjust interventions as needed to enhance effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on orthopedic conditions, helping patients of various ages and backgrounds regain their functional independence. You will work with individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or managing chronic pain, all requiring tailored rehabilitation strategies to achieve their personal health goals. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated commitment to a professional practice with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Experience in outpatient settings, particularly in orthopedics, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is an asset.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a fast-paced orthopedic outpatient clinic.
• Excellence in developing individualized rehabilitation programs utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care.
• A track record of effectively engaging and motivating patients throughout their treatment journey.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary, ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
