Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from injuries, surgeries, or health impairments to develop individualized treatment plans that focus on restoring mobility and alleviating pain.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, and modality integration, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress diligently, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and progress.
• Engage patients and their caregivers in the rehabilitation process, providing guidance on beneficial practices, exercise regimens, and assistive devices to promote independence.
• Stay current on industry trends and advances in physical therapy interventions through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse patient population recovering from orthopedic procedures or managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will develop meaningful relationships with patients, empowering them through their rehabilitation journey and supporting them to achieve their functional goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Virginia is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems are preferred for efficient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience is not required, a minimum of two years in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
• Experience working with home care or community-based physical therapy settings is a plus.
• A track record of successfully developing and executing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
