Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to create comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement individualized therapy sessions using a variety of techniques designed to address specific patient needs and goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes through multidisciplinary approaches.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction and engagement.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on treatment processes, home exercises, and preventive measures to support recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.
• Reach and maintain minimum utilization goals and contribute to overall clinic objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with patients dealing with musculoskeletal injuries, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. Your role will involve addressing varied needs—from postoperative rehabilitation to sports injuries and chronic pain management—ensuring that each patient receives the customized care they deserve.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in computer systems, including documentation and scheduling applications.
• A passion for building relationships with patients, promoting their journey toward functional independence.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, dry needling, or functional mobility training.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
