Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will take on vital responsibilities that include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients suffering from functional limitations to identify impairments and develop personalized treatment plans that address individual needs.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to provide comprehensive consultation on patient care, ensuring continuity and appropriateness of therapies provided.
• Upholding our customer service standards by treating all patients with compassion, respect, and cultural sensitivity, addressing their unique backgrounds and healthcare needs.
• Implementing and monitoring treatment plans using evidence-based theories and techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to improve patient mobility and function.
• Communicating progress and findings to patients and their families, providing education on injury prevention and self-management strategies.
• Participating in leadership roles such as community outreach events, quality improvement initiatives, and marketing efforts to raise awareness about our services.
• Staying current in the field by participating in continuing education, engaging in staff training, and attending meetings to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse population of patients with orthopedic issues, including post-surgery rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will focus on individualized care strategies to support recovery, enhance mobility, and improve overall quality of life. This patient-centered approach ensures that each individual receives the highest standard of care tailored to their specific circumstances.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess several key qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy, required to practice in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to provide emergency care as needed.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health record systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other software relevant to patient management and rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

While it is essential for candidates to meet the baseline qualifications, preference will be given to those with:

• A minimum of three years of experience specifically in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Expertise or certifications in advanced therapeutic techniques such as Manual Therapy or Dry Needling.
• Experience in community engagement or health education initiatives.
