Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical status and functional abilities through detailed evaluations, including muscle strength, range of motion, and functional mobility tests.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at relieving pain, restoring mobility, and enhancing overall functionality, with an emphasis on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Oversee the implementation of the physical therapy treatment plan by physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to guide therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, traction, and electrotherapy.
• Continuously monitor and document progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and communicating changes to the interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct home evaluations when necessary to recommend modifications or assistive devices that promote client independence.
• Participate in ongoing training and continuous education to stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and patient care strategies.
• Engage with patients and their families to educate them on therapeutic techniques and strategies for maintaining progress outside of therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in New Jersey.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Active Relief Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
