Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, reviewing pertinent medical history and performing necessary physical assessments to determine effective treatment plans.
• Clearly communicate evaluation results and treatment recommendations to patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in setting achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement tailored treatment protocols based on each patient's unique needs, continuously assessing their response and adapting approaches as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated, holistic approach to patient care, documenting any significant changes in patients' conditions that warrant adjustments to therapy plans.
• Oversee discharge planning and continuity of care, maintaining accurate and timely documentation that encompasses all aspects of patient interaction and treatment, from initial evaluations through to discharge summaries.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations while ensuring all administrative responsibilities, such as appointment scheduling and billing, are completed accurately and promptly.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote awareness of our services and foster relationships within the healthcare community.
• Actively participate in departmental goals, comply with all regulatory standards, and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing patient access and satisfaction.
• Take a proactive role in personal continuing education and mentorship opportunities, supporting the professional development of junior staff and students.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Active Life Physical Therapy Center, you will work primarily with patients post-surgery, as well as individuals transitioning from acute to rehabilitative care. Your expertise will help guide patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will play a crucial role in their journey towards recovery, utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate optimal rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the highest standards of patient safety.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications in manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or specialized orthopedic techniques will be given preference. Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

Active Life Physical Therapy Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
