Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Keyport, New Jersey, facilitating a hands-on approach to patient treatment and care. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with diverse orthopedic conditions and develop tailored treatment plans that align with best practices.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions and track patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families regarding exercise techniques, home programs, and medical conditions to support health and wellness.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, including physicians and support staff, to ensure cohesive patient care and clear communication regarding treatment updates and changes.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with state regulations and organizational standards, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of records.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote wellness and educate the public about the benefits of physical therapy.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute to clinic innovations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve adult and geriatric patients with a variety of orthopedic concerns, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal pain. Your work will be vital in formulating individualized care plans that prioritize functional recovery and long-term health improvement.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

While new graduates are encouraged to apply, preferred candidates will have at least 1-3 years of experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting, demonstrating a track record of successful patient outcomes and effective communication within a healthcare team.
