Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through comprehensive evaluation, applying diagnostic techniques to evaluate muscle, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals and rehabilitation timelines.
• Direct physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and utilize physical agents for pain relief.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in executing treatment plans and ensure quality of care.
• Monitor patient progress and record changes, providing feedback and adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes and self-care strategies to enhance recovery.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and discuss patient progress with other healthcare providers.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical records, including initial assessments, ongoing progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic physical therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries or those managing chronic orthopedic conditions. This role is critical in supporting patients through their rehabilitation journey, focusing on restoring mobility, increasing strength, and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to make timely decisions based on patient evaluations.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey treatment plans and instructions to patients and families.

Preferred Experience

• At least one (1) year of experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting, particularly with orthopedic patient populations.
• Experience using electronic health record systems for clinical documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
