Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center spans 5,000 square feet and is designed with the latest sports medicine equipment to provide a supportive healing environment. With a dedicated staff that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, we prioritize patient well-being and focus on evidence-based approaches to treatment.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Edison, New Jersey, where you will engage with a dynamic team dedicated to patient care. Our work setting fosters collaboration and teamwork, allowing you to share knowledge, discuss treatment approaches, and continuously learn from your colleagues. Operating Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, this full-time role ensures a stable work-life balance while meeting the high demand for physical therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and establish treatment goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions that facilitate improved mobility and functionality.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring individualized attention.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to enhance range of motion.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs to support patient recovery.
• Advise patients on non-surgical alternatives and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary care.
• Document treatment plans and patient progress accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software such as WebPT.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Encourage patient motivation and engagement in their recovery process through positive reinforcement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients primarily consist of individuals with private medical insurance seeking outpatient orthopedic care. You will work with a diverse population, ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to seniors aiming to regain mobility. By understanding the unique backgrounds and goals of each patient, you will provide personalized care that addresses their specific challenges and aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• No disciplinary actions or board complaints on your record.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create effective exercise programs.
• Experience using EMR software, particularly WebPT, for documentation and tracking.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a physical therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on patient assessments.
• Experience working within a collaborative healthcare environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 , commensurate with experience.
