Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is actively seeking a skilled and committed full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In this role, you will be integral in helping patients regain mobility and achieve their highest level of function, emphasizing personalized care and therapeutic interventions tailored to each individual's needs.

We are dedicated to delivering top-notch physical therapy services to a diverse group of clients, primarily covered by private insurance, helping them to not just recover but thrive in their everyday activities.

Work Environment

This position is located in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Elizabeth, NJ, where you will work alongside two other experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our clinic offers a professional atmosphere that encourages continuous learning, collaboration, and innovative approaches to therapy. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize the objectives and requirements of each patient.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring focused and high-quality care.
• Implement a variety of cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Develop customized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and diverse therapeutic techniques.
• Design individualized fitness and wellness programs to foster recovery and promote health.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey and motivate them to achieve optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of patient progress and the interventions provided.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes and make necessary adjustments to enhance effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic concerns, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will utilize your expertise to not only alleviate pain but also to empower clients with the tools and knowledge they need to maintain their physical health and prevent future injuries.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with no history of board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques to provide hands-on treatment to patients.
• Experience in designing and implementing comprehensive exercise programs tailored to individual needs.
• Strong competency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A track record of working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Experience in a collaborative team setting, contributing to multidisciplinary patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid time off, and continued educational opportunities to advance your skills and career.
