Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Jersey City, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, aiming to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore optimal functional mobility.
• Directly oversee and provide guidance to physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective execution of treatment plans, including progress evaluations and adjustments when necessary.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities through diagnostic tests focusing on muscle, nerve, joint, and functional assessments.
• Assess patients' home environments to recommend modifications that will enhance their independence and facilitate recovery during and after the therapy process.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, guiding clients in functional activities that promote their recovery and overall wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with patients of various demographics, tailoring your approach to suit their specific needs and goals. Engaging effectively with patients and their families will be crucial in fostering a trusting environment that promotes healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in the state of New Jersey.
• At least two (2) years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, demonstrating proficiency in assessment and treatment.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with specialized training or certifications in orthopedic rehabilitation or related areas will be favored. Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document patient care and treatment progress will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

Active Physical Therapy, Inc offers a competitive salary range of USD 110,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
