Work Environment

The position is primarily onsite, functioning within a vibrant orthopedic outpatient practice, specializing in home care services. You will work alongside a small but effective team of skilled professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Our collaborative team atmosphere emphasizes mutual support and professional development, with regular case discussions and knowledge sharing enhancing care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate individual patient needs and establish tailored treatment goals to fulfill their rehabilitation objectives.
• Efficiently manage a patient workload of one individual per hour, ensuring personalized attention and focused care.
• Implement cost-effective therapies that promote mobility while minimizing reliance on medications and invasive procedures.
• Design and execute comprehensive care plans incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities and exercises.
• Engage patients by motivating them through their rehabilitation process to improve their functional abilities.
• Provide thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatment interventions, and progress evaluations in adherence with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of healthcare providers to optimize the overall care for our patients.
• Continuously assess treatment effects and communicate openly with patients regarding their progress and adjustments to their care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients who have private medical insurance, focusing on orthopedic conditions that hinder mobility and functionality. Our patient demographic ranges from post-operative individuals to those recovering from sports injuries or chronic conditions. You will be instrumental in guiding them towards their rehabilitation goals and achieving optimal movement capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, ensuring a high level of knowledge in advanced physical therapy concepts.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with a clear record free from disciplinary actions.
• Expertise in manual therapy and proficiency in developing engaging exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to efficiently manage patient data and treatment records.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred, highlighting the ability to deliver specialized care effectively.
• Demonstrated success in utilizing therapeutic techniques to achieve positive patient outcomes and enhance movement capabilities.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 100,000 and 120,000, reflecting the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
