Work Environment

This Physical Therapist position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, located in the vibrant community of Union City, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, to assess their physical abilities and limitations, and develop tailored treatment strategies.
• Design, implement, and modify individualized rehabilitation programs based on specific diagnoses and progress toward recovery goals.
• Deliver a diverse range of therapeutic interventions, ensuring the application of clinical best practices, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Provide therapy services not only in the clinic but also in-home settings, utilizing adaptive techniques and tools to promote mobility and functional independence.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about their health conditions and treatment plans, fostering understanding and encouraging active participation in their recovery process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and strive toward maximizing health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care in accordance with legal and organizational policies, ensuring high standards of professionalism and compliance.
• Engage in community outreach activities to promote physical therapy services and educate the public about injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Meet established utilization goals and contribute toward achieving broader business objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position encompasses a broad patient demographic, with a primary focus on orthopedic cases. You will work with diverse patient groups, including pediatrics, individuals with neurological conditions, as well as athletes recovering from injuries. Each case provides a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in physical therapy while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is essential to practice.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant physical therapy setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills.
• A commitment to building strong patient relationships to help clients exceed their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations, including those needing specialized care in orthopedic, pediatric, and sports medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based practices and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Experience in mentor roles or community outreach programs is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
