Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite at our Union City facility, alongside fellow healthcare professionals in a collaborative and supportive setting. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule that promotes work-life balance. You will be part of a small, dedicated team comprising two physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant, fostering an environment of teamwork and shared knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess patients' goals, needs, and movement limitations through comprehensive evaluations.
• Manage a patient caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring dedicated and personalized care for each individual.
• Implement evidence-based treatment plans that encompass promotion, prevention, diagnosis, intervention, and rehabilitation strategies.
• Offer cost-effective therapeutic options aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and overall physical function.
• Minimize reliance on pain medications by providing non-surgical interventions wherever possible.
• Develop individualized care plans using a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise programming.
• Motivate and educate patients on the importance of adherence to treatment protocols and lifestyle modifications for long-term health.
• Document and track treatment sessions to evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Promote fitness and wellness programs designed to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, many of whom are covered by private medical insurance. These patients may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or managing chronic conditions that impact their daily activities. By targeting their unique challenges through tailored therapy interventions, you will make meaningful contributions to their recovery journeys and overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a deep understanding of advanced therapeutic practices.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with no disciplinary actions or board actions against it.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop customized exercise routines.
• Strong computer skills, particularly familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly valued, we welcome candidates who possess a strong fundamental understanding of physical therapy principles and are eager to learn and grow in this specialty area. Strong manual therapy skills and robust treatment planning capabilities will set you apart.

Compensation and Benefits
