Work Environment

Our onsite rehabilitation facility in Kearny provides a supportive and engaging environment for both patients and staff. As a member of our team, you will work Monday through Friday with occasional rotating weekend shifts to accommodate our patients' needs. Your role will include collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to deliver comprehensive treatment plans and optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to understand patient conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation goals as prescribed by a physician.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and innovative therapeutic interventions.
• Implement treatment programs designed to improve patients' physical function and mobility, tailoring approaches to each patient's age and developmental needs.
• Regularly document patient assessments, treatment sessions, progress reports, and discharge summaries in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions, adjusting plans as needed and utilizing supportive staff such as Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs).
• Guide and mentor PTAs and support personnel in daily patient care activities to ensure effective therapy delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, providing insights and updates regarding patient progress and adjustments to treatment plans.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities, contributing to a culture of learning and professional growth.

Our rehabilitation facility serves a diverse patient base, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients reclaim their independence and achieve their rehabilitation goals by delivering personalized treatment programs that address their specific challenges.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary for effective patient interaction and charting.
• Proficiency in computer skills and experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Preferred Experience

• One or more years of experience in a physical therapy setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with current best practice guidelines and protocols in rehabilitation therapies.
• Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
