Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations by assessing patients' histories and medical records, performing physical exams, and determining treatment needs based on evidence-based practices.
• Develop and communicate personalized treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring they are active participants in setting goals for recovery.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols in response to patient progress and evolving healthcare guidelines, utilizing modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, recognizing and documenting any changes in patients' conditions that may require modified care plans or further medical consultation.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that includes detailed evaluation notes, treatment progression summaries, and discharge recommendations to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills, meeting productivity expectations while ensuring patient care is not compromised.
• Engage in departmental goals and initiatives that improve service delivery and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Take the lead in personal continuing education efforts and mentorship for students or new hires, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the State of New Jersey is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
• An understanding of contemporary physical therapy practices and regulatory requirements specific to physical therapy in New Jersey.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
