Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, utilizing standardized assessment tools to inform treatment planning.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address specific patient needs, goals, and overall health objectives.
• Utilize an array of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to help restore mobility, alleviate pain, and enhance functional performance.
• Educate patients about their conditions, rehabilitation processes, and self-management strategies to encourage proactive involvement in their recovery journey.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and share insights on patient progress to enhance overall treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatient clients, which may include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, or neurological impairments. The diverse patient population you'll encounter will allow you to practice a wide range of physical therapy methodologies and techniques, advancing your skills and experience in various clinical scenarios.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in New York State is mandatory for this role.
• At least 2 years of direct experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in outpatient rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

• A Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly desired.
• Previous experience in an outpatient clinic environment is an advantage, providing familiarity with insurance processes and clinic operations.
• Background in a variety of therapeutic techniques such as aquatic therapy, manual therapy, and modalities for pain management.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
