Work Environment

Our facility is located in the vibrant community of Forest Hills, NY, known for its welcoming atmosphere and accessibility. Operating in a home care setting, our team works onsite from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, to ensure our patients receive top-notch care in a convenient location. The clinic is designed with modern equipment and therapeutic tools to provide the best environment for both patients and staff, fostering collaboration and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, including mobility tests and functional evaluations.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address individual patient needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Utilize innovative rehabilitation techniques, such as manual therapy and exercise prescription, to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly based on their performance and responses to therapy.
• Educate patients on their conditions and involve them in their recovery process to increase motivation and compliance.
• Develop and maintain accurate patient records to track treatment outcomes and facilitate communication with other healthcare providers.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on an outpatient population, including individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. The therapist will work with a manageable caseload of approximately 7 patients per day, allowing for personalized attention and care. Our clients range from young adults to seniors, each requiring a tailored approach to rehabilitation to meet their unique health goals.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of New York.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience utilizing modern therapeutic techniques and technologies such as therapeutic ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Proficient in creating and executing rehabilitation programs that cater to diverse patient demographics and needs.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics relevant to patient care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to motivate patients.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
