Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities and needs, establishing tailored treatment plans that address their specific goals.
• Utilize hands-on therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to restore function while adhering to the latest evidence-based protocols.
• Educate patients regarding their conditions, the proposed treatments, and self-management strategies to promote independent and active participation in their care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records following regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Serve as a mentor for junior therapists and interns, fostering a culture of learning and professional development within the facility.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Sustain Recovery, you will interact with a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, sports-related injuries, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be essential in motivating patients to engage in their recovery process and adhere to treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New York State.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, ideally within an outpatient clinic.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and modalities relevant to outpatient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
