Work Environment

Located in the heart of Ridgewood, NY, our rehabilitation center is easily accessible and equipped with state-of-the-art treatment rooms, gym facilities, and therapeutic equipment. Our onsite setting allows for a dynamic and interactive workplace where therapists can engage directly with patients. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life dynamic while ensuring continuity of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities, including strength, balance, and mobility.
• Developing tailored treatment plans that align with individual patient goals and rehabilitation milestones, regularly updating these plans based on progress.
• Implementing various therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Educating patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention strategies, and chronic pain management, fostering a supportive environment that encourages questions and dialogue.
• Collaborating with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitating clinical communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients come from varied backgrounds, encompassing a wide range of ages and conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will interact with between 6 to 7 patients each day, allowing for personalized attention and follow-up to achieve optimal functional outcomes. Our patient-centric approach means you will have the opportunity to closely monitor progress and adjust treatments in real-time to ensure the best possible recovery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A current New York State Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with preference given to candidates holding a Master's or Doctorate in the field.
