Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our rehab center, collaborating with a team of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. Our supportive environment encourages teamwork and communication, enabling us to deliver cohesive care to our patients. The center operates from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, providing a predictable work schedule that allows for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions to identify specific goals and needs effectively.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, developing tailored treatment plans for each individual.
• Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions to aid in patient recovery and mobility enhancement.
• Educate patients on injury prevention and wellness strategies that promote a healthier lifestyle.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Implement innovative fitness and wellness programs designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document all patient care services using electronic medical records (EMR) software, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other health professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey for optimal functional outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves an orthopedic outpatient population, comprised of individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. As a Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient demographics, promoting their rehabilitation and guiding them towards achieving their functional goals. Our focus on patient empowerment ensures that every individual receives personalized attention and care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist License for the state of New York.
• Clean record with no disciplinary actions or board actions on your license.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Previous experience in developing and implementing fitness and wellness programs is a plus.
• Strong understanding of contemporary physical therapy practices and interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
