Work Environment

This position is set in our onsite rehabilitation facility located in Brooklyn, New York. Working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility needed to meet patient needs and support the clinic's operational requirements. Our facility is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology and tools, providing an atmosphere conducive to both patient recovery and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical needs and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to alleviate pain and promote physical well-being.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs crucial for their recovery.
• Utilize various modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under your expert guidance.
• Document patient progress meticulously, tracking metrics such as range of motion, strength gains, and overall improvement in function.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized treatment area, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are ready for use.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists to enhance patient care.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to patients, fostering an encouraging and positive rehabilitation environment.
• Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and rights are respected.

The patient population served at Caring Physical Therapy is diverse, ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Our physical therapist will have the opportunity to work with individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and other physical challenges. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid New York state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
