Work Environment

The rehabilitation facility is designed to reflect a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere that promotes patient engagement and recovery. As an outpatient facility, we focus on hands-on treatment and personalized care, allowing our clinicians to build meaningful relationships with patients. Working hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, either from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a work-life balance and conducive working conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions, utilizing assessment tools to diagnose impairments and functional limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress and outcomes meticulously to adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring the best possible results for each individual.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and strategies for maintaining health and preventing further injury.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to provide interdisciplinary care tailored to patients' needs.
• Participate in clinical education by mentoring students and interns, sharing your expertise to help cultivate the next generation of physical therapy professionals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on outpatient orthopedic patients, ranging from those recovering from surgical procedures to individuals dealing with chronic pain, sports injuries, and post-injury rehabilitation. The ability to devise personal recovery strategies based on diverse needs is crucial.

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and active New York State Physical Therapy license is required to practice.
• At least 2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting, demonstrating a proficiency in patient assessment and treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective relationships with patients and team members.
• Strong clinical hands-on skills and assessment capabilities to provide high-quality care.

Preferred Experience

• Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred and will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
