Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in beautiful Oyster Bay, NY. The facility is designed to create an inviting and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our team works collaboratively to provide comprehensive treatment in a supportive environment, emphasizing patient engagement and innovative therapeutic techniques. Regular operational hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility expected to accommodate the varied needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop tailored treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility, improving strength, and enhancing overall functionality.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities that focus on physical rehabilitation and pain management, consistently monitoring their progress.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and personalized home exercise programs to empower their recovery journey.
• Utilize and administer various modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.
• Document and track patient progress meticulously, including range of motion, strength improvements, and other functional outcomes to adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that necessary equipment and supplies are in optimal condition and readily available for effective therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to provide holistic patient care and achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a motivating atmosphere that promotes healing and positivity.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

Compensation and Benefits
