Work Environment

This role is predominantly onsite at our dedicated rehabilitation facility located in Garden City, New York. The environment is equipped with the latest therapeutic tools and equipment, allowing therapists to implement the most effective treatment plans. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical therapy needs, collaborating closely with physicians and the patient care team to develop and implement customized treatment plans.
• Delivering both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, tailored to each patient's progress and specific conditions, while utilizing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Providing education to patients and their families about treatment objectives, home exercises, and the use of therapeutic devices.
• Coordinating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to discuss patient progress and make data-driven decisions regarding care pathways.
• Ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements, including maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse patient population recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. You will play a critical role in empowering patients to regain mobility and function while supporting their emotional and physical needs during recovery.

Qualifications

• Current New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in a clinical setting is an asset, it is not required. We welcome newly licensed therapists who are eager to learn and contribute to our patient care goals. Our team provides mentorship and training to ensure your successful integration into our practice.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, with an annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
